Joined Energy Bay in 2023, Daniel oversees group operations across the portfolio of embedded networks, solar and battery storage assets, and energy retail. He previously served as Managing Director of QuadSol for over seven years, bringing extensive energy and utility experience from working with Rio Tinto, BHP, Chevron, and Sydney Water.
Lachlan Hutchesson
General Counsel
Joined Energy Bay in 2021, Lachlan provides strategic legal and governance advice to the Board, CEO and senior management. He previously worked at PwC and the Essential Services Commission and has a broad commercial background and experience advising on both private and government projects across a range of industry sectors including transport, energy and resources.

Major Deal with Real Asset Management
Major deal with Real Asset Management Energy Bay inks largest deal to date, leasing nine suburban shopping centre rooftops from Real Asset Management – to install and operate solar PV.
Launch of $350m Solar Investment Initiative
Launch of three-year Energy Bay investment initiative across Australia to buy-back on-site solar systems. One of the first major deals was the acquisition of the famous solar installation atop the Sydney International Convention Centre.
Australia’s Largest “behind-the-meter” Renewable Energy System
Energy Bay joins forces with McCain Foods to fund and install the country’s largest behind-the-meter renewable energy system at its potato processing plant in Ballarat, Victoria.
Australia’s Largest Rooftop Solar Build
Energy Bay signs on with LOGOS to install up to 60MW of rooftop solar and up to 150MWh of battery energy storage at Moorebank Logistics Park.
Australian first Partnership with ESR Australia
Energy Bay teams up with APAC’s largest real asset manager, ESR Australia, on renewable energy solutions, investing up to $500m over 10 years to deliver up to 50MW of solar power and 300MW of battery storage across ESR’s vast property network.
QuadSol joins the Group
Sydney-based solar and energy battery designer, installer and maintainer QuadSol joins the Energy Bay Group to sit as part of the Energy Bay team.
Diamond Energy Acquisition
Energy Bay acquires renewable energy generation and electricity retail company, Diamond Energy, providing the company’s core power market capability and regulatory approval to sell power. The innovative deal capitalises on changing market dynamics to meet the growing demands of Australian businesses and customers for renewable energy solutions.
Partnering with Stockland for Net Zero
Energy Bay partners with major Australian property developer Stockland to deliver renewable energy across its entire commercial properties. The deal, initially focused on on-site solar power generation, will help Stockland achieve Net Zero for Scope 2 Emissions by 2025.
Energy Bay Secures A$215M Debt Facility
This landmark A$215 million facility provides the financial strength to fast-track Energy Bay’s national roll-out. It underpins the expansion of embedded networks and the deployment of rooftop solar and battery storage across key real estate precincts.
