Solar Bay has delivered some of Australia’s largest renewable energy developments, with services spanning across distributed renewable energy and embedded network asset development, construction and financing.
Diamond Energy is Energy Bay’s renewable energy generation and electricity retail company, only owning and sourcing renewable energy and providing cost competitive, low carbon solutions to Australian residential, commercial, industrial and government customers.
Energy Bay Established
In 2016, backed by a consortium of family offices, Energy Bay is established and launches its first brand to the market, Solar Bay, with the goal of enabling the decarbonisation of Australia and New Zealand’s largest commercial and industrial property owners.
Major Deal with Real Asset Management
Major deal with Real Asset Management Solar Bay inks largest deal to date, leasing nine suburban shopping center rooftops from Real Asset Management to install and operate Solar PV.
Launch of $350m Solar Investment Initiative
Launch of three-year Solar Bay investment initiative across Australia to buy-back on-site solar systems. One of the first major deals was the acquisition of the famous solar installation atop the Sydney International Convention Centre.
Australia’s Largest “behind-the-meter” Renewable Energy System
Solar Bay joins forces with McCain Foods to fund and install the country’s largest behind the meter renewable energy system at its potato processing plant in Ballarat, Victoria.
Australia’s Largest Rooftop Solar Build
Solar Bay signs on with LOGOS to install 60MW of rooftop solar and 150MWh of battery energy storage at Moorebank Logistics park. Once complete the project will have enough power to supply 40,000 homes every year.
Australian first Partnership with ESR Australia
Solar Bay teams up with APAC’s largest real asset manager, ESR Australia, on renewable energy solutions, investing up to $500m over 10 years to deliver up to 50MW of solar power and 300MW of battery storage across ESR’s vast property network.
QuadSol joins the Group
Sydney-based solar and energy battery designer, installer and maintainer QuadSol joins the Energy Bay group, to sit as part of the Solar Bay team.
Diamond Energy Acquisition
Energy Bay acquires renewable energy generation and electricity retail company, Diamond Energy, providing the company core power market capability and regulatory approval to sell power. The innovative deal capitalises on changing market dynamics to meet the growing demands of Australian businesses and customers for renewable energy solutions.
Partnering with Stockland for Net Zero
Energy Bay partners with major Australian property developer Stockland to deliver renewable energy across its entire commercial property. The deal, initially focused on on-site solar power generation, will help Stockland achieve Net Zero for Scope 2 Emissions by 2025.
